Met with Dr. Isaacs today

What's on my mind? Well, I'm thinking that I'm blessed to be here in this city even though it's for the reason that I'm here. I'm thinking that I'm rich with people that love me and my family enough to give their money, concerns, prayers, cards, letters, poems and a variety of other things to show how much they care.

I know that what I'm dealing with is serious and scary; cancer is no joke. I'm also confident that we are choosing the best treatment available for what I'm dealing with. Meeting with Dr. Isaacs today was reassuring and I am more confident and resolved to follow the treatment she prescribed. The protocol will be challenging to follow while working full time, but I know it's doable. A lot of supplements and cleansing (detox) to be done daily and some, several times a day. The good thing is I can eat some fish now and several other things not allowed before. She also did an exam on me today and was pleased where I am health wise. We meet with her again tomorrow to go over the particulars of my treatment protocol. Lulu and I read over the program tonight and she has written down several question to ask and discuss with her tomorrow. Thank God for attentive spouses! She'll continue to make sure I stay on the straight and narrow.

I also, very much see God's hand in all of this. His ways are greater and higher that ours. I am confident that the monies will be there to continue this course of treatment. He hasn't failed me yet. Where God leads, He will provide.

With our Hotel being smack dab in the middle of Manhattan, we've been able to walk all over and not waste money on cab fares. We toured the Empire State Building and the view was spectacular! We walked down Broadway while I sang, On Broadway (George Benson.) What an absolute rush. At one point I turned around to say something to Lulu and she was crying. I asked her, "What's wrong, honey?" She said "Nothing, I can't believe how good God is. I can't believe we're here in is this amazing city." I couldn't agree more. Thank you all for making this possible for us. Having cancer sucks and it's times like this that bring hope and hope always helps with healing.

Because He first loved us,
Dave
